Indoor Grow Tent 1.2m

It gives an indoor grow its own enclosed space. The lining keeps your light on the plants, the ports let you run extraction and cables, and the tray catches spills. It also keeps the grow visually and physically separate from the room it is in.

1.2m wide, 1.2m deep and 2m tall. That is the smaller of the two sizes we sell. The other is 1.5m square and the same height.

The 1.2m suits one light over one system. The 1.5m gives you room to walk around a system, run a second light, or keep a propagation tray beside the main grow. If you are in any doubt and the space allows it, people rarely regret the larger one.

No. This is the enclosure. Lights, fans, ducting, filters and the hydroponic system itself are all separate purchases.

600D Oxford fabric, double stitched, over a powder coated steel frame with heavy duty PP corner connectors. The inside is lined with reflective Mylar.

The supplier states 95 to 98 percent. In practice that means light which would otherwise be absorbed by a wall gets bounced back towards the plants, so you get more out of the light you have already paid to run.

It is built not to. The fabric is double stitched and there is a wide flap inside the zip so the seam is not a direct line out. No tent is perfect, but a well zipped one in a dark room shows very little.

Five vent ports, plus two micro mesh ports at ground level for air intake and two cord ports for cabling. The mesh on the low intakes keeps insects out while letting cool air in.

For anything beyond a very small grow, yes. A closed tent with a light in it heats up and the air goes stale. An extraction fan pulling air out of the top and cool air coming in at the mesh ports is the usual arrangement.

Yes. Three support bars run across the top for exactly that. They also take fans. Check the weight of your light against what the bars are holding rather than assuming.

It goes together without tools. The frame poles push into the corner connectors and the fabric slips over the finished frame. It is easier with a second pair of hands but it is not a difficult build.

Spills. A reservoir that overflows or a pump joint that lets go will otherwise put nutrient solution straight onto your floor. The tray lifts out so you can empty and rinse it rather than mopping inside the tent.

Wipe the lining with a damp cloth and take the tray out to rinse. Let everything dry fully before folding the tent away, because fabric put away damp holds a smell.

It is designed as an indoor tent. The fabric is not made for weather, wind or sustained sunlight, and a tall lightweight frame outdoors is asking to be blown over. Keep it inside.

The fabric holds a lot in on its own. If smell is the main reason you are buying it, the tent alone is not the whole answer: extraction through a carbon filter is what actually does that job, and neither is included here.

The 36 cup kit is 98 x 108 cm at the base, so it fits inside a 1.2m square tent but with very little room to move around it. If you want space to work, the 1.5m tent is the better pairing.

Not in this one. The 108 cup system is 140 cm wide, which is wider than a 1.2m tent and wider than the 1.5m too. That system is designed to stand in a room rather than inside a tent.

Something matched to the footprint. Our LED grow light strips link together in a series, which suits a square tent because you can lay out even coverage rather than having one bright spot in the middle.

That depends entirely on your light and your ventilation, not on the tent. LEDs run cooler than older lighting, and an extraction fan makes far more difference than anything about the fabric.

Yes, and the floor tray is what makes that reasonable. It is still worth putting something under the whole tent if the carpet matters to you, because the tray catches what lands inside the tent and not what runs out of a door.

It has double side view panels and three zipped doors, so you can look in without unzipping the whole front. Bear in mind that opening a viewing panel with a light running lets light out as well as letting you see in.

Two metres to the top of the frame, less whatever your light and its hangers take up. Allow a good 30 to 40 cm at the top for the light and its clearance when you are working out how tall your plants can get.

Yes. The frame comes apart and the fabric folds. Dry it out first. A tent folded away damp comes out of storage smelling of it.

The bars are described as heavy duty and are meant for lights and fans. A carbon filter is heavier than either, so check the weight of yours before hanging it, and consider supporting it from the floor if it is a large one.

Yes, and the build is simple enough that most people have it standing before they finish reading them. The one thing worth doing carefully is getting the frame square before the fabric goes on.

In the 1.2m, realistically no, not with room to work. In the 1.5m it is possible for smaller systems. The limiting factor is usually access rather than floor area.

Running power and any control cables in without leaving a zip open. Two of them is enough for a light and a pump, with the fan usually going through a vent port.

The floor tray holds spills, and the fabric is not intended to be a sealed vessel. Treat it as splash tolerant with a tray underneath rather than as a waterproof box.
